Biography

Fate can intervene in interesting ways. Normally there would be no reason for a senator form the Hegemony of Nel to be on Halthi in the Gorm Mhor system, but errors, mistakes – fate – happens. A navigational mishap of a few arcseconds landed Senator Berdyk on Halthi instead of the Hegemony Colony of Dylut. Curiosity blunted the irritation the Senator felt once she discovered where she was. Not many colonies were founded by the mix of Nel Ari, Questil, and Reltoans.

The Senator arranged a tour of the capital city, Dom Schpitee Mayaz, where she had landed. The City council assign the always eager Mesec to lead the Senator around and of course be on her beck and call. This is where fate intervened again with as yet to be determined consequences. Mesec, in attempt to appease the Senator, and possible garner favor for their friend’s business, had led the senator to the star port in general and to Jyle’s Wrenchwerks in particular. Hoping to get an answer on when the Senator could leave for Dylut adn impress the Seantor with their connections.

Unbeknownst to Mesec, the Senator has attracted a tail of thugs looking to make easy money. As they made introductions a Jyle’s Wrenchwerks, the ruffians sprang into action and shot Gudris Jyle. Darka Jyle tried to subdue the thugs but suffered a beating. This distraction allowed Mesec to spring into action and demonstrate some of her baser skills. With help from the Senator’s security detail, Mesec subdued the gang, rendered aid to Darka, and got medical assistance for Gurdis. 

While this didn’t get the easy access to business opportunities Mesec was hoping for, it did gain them an ally. Since that day either the Senator, or her aide David Ibrahim, have been keeping an eye on Mesec. They have even asked that they get themselves, and as consequence the rest of the No Namers, involved with the Lady Spike. This is part of an operation to find what the secretive Lady Spike is after and to keep it from her.
